Royal Properties, Inc. is pleased to announce that they have brokered two deals at Spackenkill Plaza, 2521 South Road (Route 9), Poughkeepsie, New York.

Nothing bundt Cakes, a successful, niche bakery concept with more than 300 bakeries across the US, signed a ten-year lease with two-five-year options for 2,530 square feet. They are a unique franchise that has a “Mom and Pop shop” feel to them, specializing in bundt cakes and bundtinis, each bakery still has the warmth and nostalgia of its home-kitchen roots, but also takes a modern approach for the world today. Nothing bundt Cakes opened on December 4, 2020.
Crab du Jour, a delicious homestyle seafood restaurant, with more than 95 locations throughout the US, signed a five-year lease with two-five-year options for the 5,605 square foot former Table Talk Diner. They feature traditional Cajun seafood boil dishes as well as a variety of appetizers, fried baskets, soups and salads, Po’boys, sides, and kids’ meals. Crab du Jour expects to expand their number of locations in the next year with plans for 130 restaurants opened nationwide by the end of 2021. Crab du Jour is scheduled to open their Poughkeepsie location this summer.
Spackenkill Plaza is a 28,050 square foot shopping center with tremendous visibility, signaled access and parking for 180 vehicles. This center is situated within minutes of IBM’s 300-acre campus with over 3,000 daytime employees. Nothing Bundt Cakes and Crab du Jour joined co-tenants Starbucks, Bonsai Japanese & Thai Restaurant, and Sweet Frog Premium Frozen Yogurt. Neighboring retailers include Stop & Shop, Price Chopper, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, Harmon, Modell’s, JoAnn Fabrics, TGI Friday’s, Mattress Firm, Chase, Just-A-Buck, Wendy’s and many more. There are two spaces currently available for lease, a 4,470 square foot in-line store and the 12,291 square foot end cap (former Pier 1 Imports).
